Summary:
a. OVERVIEW OF THE SUSTAINABLE CITY COMMITTEE (SCC) STRUCTURE: Staff will provide an overview of the updated City Council approved structure for the SCC.
b. COMMUNITY MEMBER APPOINTMENTS: At the April 28, 2026, City Council meeting, the City Council appointed three individuals to fill vacant Community Member positions. Staff will introduce the new members and welcome them to the SCC.
c. 2026-2027 WORK PLAN: The SCC will discuss and create a work plan to assist future privately operated farmers markets in the City by establishing a set of recommended best practices. The guiding document would promote sustainability, health, and wellness that farmer’s market operators could implement in the market’s operation.
