Summary:
A. CONCERTS IN THE PARK 2024: The concerts in the Park 2024 series has had four concerts, with two more events to be held August 7th and August 14th. Staff is thankful to the SCC members who have staffed the SCC booth for the concerts thus far. Staff purchased two giveaway items for the event, plant pencils and edible spoons to promote sustainable options.
B. SCC AWARD PROGRAM: Staff will provide a status update on the SCC award program, “Kickin Grass”, “Kickin-Gas”, and “Sunshine” awards for the first half of the calendar year. In addition to two nominations received from SCC members.
C. MEDIAN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT: The Public Works Department will provide an update on the Citywide median landscape and irrigation design project. Specifically, grant opportunities the City was awarded for the project.
D. CITYWIDE STREET TREE PLANTING PROJECT: As of today, the City has achieved its goal of planting 200 street trees in accordance with the City’s Street Tree Master Plan. The Public Works Department will provide a more in-depth update on the Citywide Street Tree Planting project.
