Title: The City of Signal Hill is updating the Environmental Resources Element and preparing an entirely new Environmental Justice Element of the Signal Hill General Plan. The Environmental Resources Element addresses open space and the conservation of natural resources, including air quality, water, energy, soils, and mineral deposits. The Environmental Justice Element will include policies to minimize pollution burdens on all residential neighborhoods, with an emphasis on disadvantaged communities. Civic engagement is a key component in the preparation of the two elements. (Attachment A)
